Chapter 5565: Heretic Blood Heaven Flipping Seal

Reaching back, he touched the wound on his head. Blood trickled down his fingers, and his thoughts remained muddled from the impact.

Fortunately, his combat instincts had kept his astral energy circulating, preventing what could have been a fatal blow.

“It can hide itself?” Long Chen muttered, surprised.

Without hesitation, he unleashed a tempest of slashes with Evilmoon, sending razor-sharp saber-images in all directions. Yet, there was no reaction from the unseen assailant.

Just as Long Chen paused to assess the situation, another heavy blow struck the back of his head. Stars spun in his vision, and he roared in pain.

BOOM!

A lightning sphere exploded, engulfing the space in crackling energy. But even so, Long Chen failed to force this fellow out of hiding. Long Chen was stunned. He had never encountered such a bizarre opponent.

To avoid further attacks, he swung Evilmoon wildly, tearing apart the void around him. Frustrated, he called out, “Senior, help me out!”

“My power is insufficient. I cannot sense its location,” replied the Earth Cauldron.

“Then what can I do? What kind of weapon is this? If I can’t find it, I’ll just keep getting hit!”

“I’ll teach you a method. We’ll need to work together in order to grasp it. But we’ll only have one chance, so listen well…”

Long Chen continued his relentless swings, shredding the air with each strike as the Earth Cauldron explained the plan. Suddenly, Long Chen retracted Evilmoon and spread his lightning wings. At that moment, he sensed a faint ripple of danger.

The Earth Cauldron materialized, shielding Long Chen’s head just as a red brick materialized out of thin air and slammed into it. The impact caused the hand holding the brick to explode, and a humanoid figure was revealed.

“Fuck you!” Long Chen bellowed.

Without hesitation, he delivered a thunderous slap to the figure’s face.

BOOM!

The power behind his slap directly blew apart the attacker’s head, killing him instantly.

The red brick fell to the ground, its runes dim and lifeless, as if its item-spirit had perished in the exchange.

“Quick, insert a new item-spirit to replace the old one!” shouted the Earth Cauldron.

“Little Heaven, come out!” called Long Chen.

He reached into the primal chaos space, where the Heaven Flipping Seal’s item-spirit, Little Heaven, had been slumbering since his ascension from the Martial Heaven Continent. Long Chen had never found a suitable receptacle for it in the immortal world, but now its chance had come. Ȑ

The slumbering Little Heaven didn’t even know what was happening before Long Chen grabbed it with his Spiritual Strength and inserted it into the red brick.

After that, a ray of divine light shot out of the Earth Cauldron and entered the red brick. It was helping Little Heaven gain control of its new body.

The red brick quivered three times in Long Chen’s hand before finally stabilizing. After that, he felt Little Heaven’s spiritual fluctuations and knew the fusion was complete.

“Let it rest. Avoid using its power for now. That will aid its growth. But don’t worry, in a few hours, you’ll have full control of this weapon,” advised the Earth Cauldron.

After Long Chen asked, the Earth Cauldron explained that this red brick was a notorious weapon from the primal chaos era, infamous for its heretical nature.

This weapon’s killing power wasn’t very high, but it possessed an extremely hateful ability: it contained its own hidden space. As long as it was hiding within that space, the attacks of the outside world couldn’t reach it.

Its various names throughout history were curses, as if mocking the creator who had forged such a shameless weapon.

As the ancestors of these lifeforms had once controlled this weapon, they knew how to use it.

The most effective method to awaken this divine weapon was through a blood sacrifice, though gradually channeling bloodline power could also achieve the same result at a lesser cost.

This red brick had fallen into the Heaven Vein Mystic Realm and embedded itself within a skull, drawing on the skull’s energy to shield itself from the ravages of time.

In truth, the item-spirit of the brick had long since reached its limit. Otherwise, those lifeforms would have been able to awaken it almost instantly.

Since no one had competed with them over it, they had decided to take their time to awaken it. Unfortunately for them, Long Chen arrived and killed a lot of their experts.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Long Chen had essentially forced one of the elders to resort to the blood sacrifice to awaken the weapon immediately. The elder then activated the brick’s concealing technique, using it to launch a sneak attack. Luckily, Long Chen’s head was hard enough to withstand the blow.

“Damn, that really hurt,” grumbled Long Chen.

Long Chen rubbed the back of his head, still feeling the searing pain. Blood continued to flow from the wound, and even the primal chaos space’s powerful healing abilities seemed to struggle against some lingering force.

“This weapon is known as the Heretic Blood Divine Seal in this era. It’s had many names in the past, though I can’t remember them all,” said the Earth Cauldron with a chuckle. “But this name suits it perfectly. It’s a truly sinister weapon, one that absorbs blood. When it struck you, it took a small amount of your essence blood. However, your bloodline is too powerful for it to absorb much. That’s actually a blessing in disguise. Because it already contains some of your blood, it won’t be long before you will also be able to use its unique abilities. Imagine being able to hide within it and ambush enemies without warning. Doesn’t that sound like your kind of thing?”

“Hehe, when you put it that way, getting hit twice was worth it,” said Long Chen, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.

The thought of using this shameless technique on others transformed Long Chen’s anger into joy. Perhaps the idea of smashing unsuspecting foes with a brick was even more satisfying than slapping them in the face.

“Haha, alright, then starting today, your name is the Heretic Blood Heaven Flipping Seal!” declared Long Chen, laughing as he formally renamed the weapon.

The pain in his head subsided, and his dizziness faded, replaced by a surge of excitement for what lay ahead.

Glancing around, Long Chen noticed that the lifeforms who had attacked him had already fled, leaving only a heap of corpses behind. However, he couldn’t be bothered to collect them. Despite their intimidating exteriors, they were surprisingly weak. Perhaps they had relied entirely on the Heretic Blood Divine Seal to survive back then. Without it, they were nothing.

Even if Long Chen threw their bodies into the black soil, they wouldn’t yield much energy. Deciding it wasn’t worth the effort, he left the corpses as they were.

Long Chen rubbed the back of his head, feeling the wound rapidly heal. With the Heretic Blood Heaven Flipping Seal now recognizing him as its master, its residual laws were no longer able to harm him.

“Hahaha, let’s see what you can do!”

With a burst of laughter, Long Chen dashed off, eager to test his newly acquired weapon.
