Transmigrating as an Extra Third-Rate Villain

Chapter 280 Protect or Rob [5]

As Kazuki spouted those words, the purple orb, seeming to move in slow motion, finally reached its destination.

*RUMBLE*

*CRASH*

*RUMBLE*

Crashing right into the ceiling of the underground space, the purple orb caused an onslaught of rocks and dust.

Already prepared, Kazuki pointed at his spear, which was still embedded in Alya\'s ice pillar above.

The next second, the spear suddenly started shining as a net emerged from its tip.

Falling downwards, the net perfectly covered the main cast and Kazuki, preventing any rocks from hitting them.

As rocks crashed into the net, the spear did not budge, keeping the net protecting the main cast steady and stable.

The same could not be said for the djinns, who took the rockslides and ensuing dust head-on without any protection.

Though since the djinns\' bodies were durable, none of them died, but their pace was slowed, and formation was destroyed.

As for Kaneki, who didn\'t even realize the existence of the purple orb, he was able to activate Reality Phase just in time.

Phasing through the incoming rocks, Kaneki easily avoided being hit while also finding another weak spot in the djinns\' crumbled formation.

And finally, the cause of the incident, Ren, was... nowhere to be seen.

That is unless you were looking right up at the hole that was created by the massive purple orb.

Using all the dust, Ren rapidly scaled the walls before using his daggers to climb up into the hole.

One by one, like a rock climber, Ren stabbed his right dagger, lifted himself up, then stabbed his left dagger more up than the previous one and lifted himself up even more.

Kazuki, completely ignoring the continued barrage of rocks, stared at the main cast for a second before pausing on Ruby.

"You don\'t seem busy, right?"

Doubtful of whether the net would hold up under the pressure of rocks, Ruby carefully nodded before pointing to Irene and saying.

"Yes, I\'m currently on a break to recover, mana, you could say."

"good."

Nodding his head, Kazuki pointed at the ceiling before continuing.

"Find out what up there is so important that someone decided to create a damn orb of pure purpleness to destroy it."

"As for the origin of this maniac, Kaneki is probably already investigating."

Unbeknownst to Kazuki, his oblivious friend didn\'t even know there was a purple orb in the first place.

Nodding her head, Ruby watched as the rest of the main cast reassumed their formation, with Kazuki beginning to climb back up the ice pillar.

As the onslaught of rocks disappeared, leaving massive clouds of dust in its wake, the net suddenly retracted.

Within a second, the massive net was completely changed to its original size, back on the tip of Kazuki\'s spear.

Standing in the crater on the ceiling, Ren watched as the djinns resumed their rush before scratching his head.

Something was seriously off.

"These guys seriously give no fucks..."

After witnessing an onslaught of rocks that was completely unpredictable, you would think that they would take a step back to plan.

But no, these djinns just continued rushing to their death, watching their teammates die right in front of them.

Ignoring the inconsistency with the djinns, Ren sighed before glancing around the crater.

For some reason, the principal was nowhere to be seen in this underground space.

Originally, Ren had assumed that she had just been hiding while secretly buffing the main cast, but now he could see that she had actually just never been here.

But, then, that begged the question.

Why...were the main cast so powerful?

These djinns were all B-ranks, in contrast to the C-rank main cast, so they should at least be struggling.

Yet, the main cast had barely any wounds on them, and they seemed full of energy despite facing a constant horde of djinns.

The only plausible exp.anation Ren had come up with was that the principal was using some S-rank skill to buff them, but that was now out of the cards.

Shaking his head, Ren once again put aside the inconsistencies before taking out his two corrupted daggers.

The crater actually wasn\'t just some elaborate distraction that Ren had made.

Looking down at everyone in the room, who all had their opens open and visible, Ren smiled.

The perfect flash.

Manifesting a green bird in his hands, Ren was about to throw it forward when suddenly, he felt a presence approaching him.

Holding his breath, Ren took out his daggers and slowly approached the edge of the crater.

At that moment, a hand suddenly surged upwards, grabbing ahold of the crater and slowly pulling itself back.

Staying the same distance away, Ren watched as the hand slowly pulled the rest of the figure\'s body up until, finally, the figure\'s entire body was visible.

"..."

"..."

Staring at the djinn in front of him, Ren was genuinely at a loss for words.

"HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET UP HERE!?"

Staring at Ren with a confused expression, the djinn slowly raised its hand before pointing at Ren.

"y-you\'re not one of us?"

"..."

Clutching his heart, Ren barely managed to stand up straight

He had been called a bastard, a pervert, a cheater, and a fraud...but being called a djinn was WAY TOO FAR!

Realizing that the mask and tattered clothes he was wearing made him resemble a djinn, Ren regained some of his dignity before staring back at the djinn.

What exactly was he supposed to say?

Raising his hand, Ren imitated the djinn pointed his figure at him.

"...I am."

"You are?"

"I am."

"Prove it."

"...you prove you\'re a djinn."

"...no, you prove." Continue reading on m|v-l\'e -NovelBin.net

"Let\'s just say we\'re both djinns and be done with it, alright?"

"deal."

"..."

"..."

As an awkward moment of silence took over them, Ren sighed before pointing at the underground space below.

"I heard there is free money down there."

"...I don\'t want money."
