Chapter 262: Ch.261 Grand Race

Su Ming was now embracing his darker side, or as he liked to call it, "So Dark." How could he disappoint his cousin Wade?

He commanded Monarch to cast a phase spell, allowing everyone to pass through the ground and land directly in the sewers beneath Paris.

Perfect. Every city must be explored from the sewers—it\'s the true dark side.

Speaking of which, even Mario spent his time crawling through pipes and stomping enemies flat. Yet, no one ever called him a dark hero, right?

Various light sources were quickly conjured up as the group huddled together in the sewer, their voices echoing far into the darkness.

Although none of them were severely injured, they all seemed tired, especially Monarch, who had endured heavy fire from the airships and cast multiple large-scale spells during the retreat.

Now, he sat next to the murky stream of sewage, pulling out one rabbit after another from his pocket and drowning them in the water. The rabbits thrashed wildly, splashing filthy water everywhere, even drenching Monarch\'s face. It was unclear whether the moisture on his cheeks was sewage or tears.

The other mutants like Magik and Colossus, who had fought fiercely at other intersections, looked equally exhausted. Considering how powerful they were, it wasn\'t their physical strength giving out but rather mental fatigue.

The mission had been progressing smoothly, and then suddenly everything exploded, attracting the Germans. How could they not feel drained?

Su Ming removed his helmet and massaged the space between his eyes.

Wade\'s body was now completely shattered—bones pulverized, organs reduced to mush. His regeneration would take time, leaving him practically useless for now.

And his three women? Whenever something involved Wade, they lost all sense of reason, becoming more of a liability than help.

The most logical thing to do would be to ditch them, but Su Ming had bigger plans, and that meant doing the opposite.

"Vanessa, Domino, Inez, come over. We need to talk."

Su Ming casually tossed Wade\'s limp, skin-like remains to Cable and gestured for the three women to follow him to a quieter section of the sewer.

The three of them looked embarrassed. They had already figured out that Wade wasn\'t actually dead, but they still felt guilty for messing things up. Su Ming seemed stern, and they didn\'t know what to expect.

They had heard that Su Ming could be terrifying when angry, and even Wade would shiver at the mention of his cousin. Now it seemed like he was going to hold them accountable.

As they obediently followed, Su Ming stared at them with his single, piercing eye. Wade was certainly a lucky guy—despite the chaos and grime from the battle, these women were still breathtaking.

"Alright, I know what you\'re thinking, but it doesn\'t matter. You ruined my plan. Do you have anything to say for yourselves?"

The Cloak of Levitation raised its collar dramatically. It loved moments like these. Life at the Sanctum Sanctorum had been too boring—this was where the real excitement was.

"We... We\'re sorry. We lost control for a moment," Inez mumbled, scratching her nose and exchanging uneasy glances with the others. Her temper was notorious, a side effect of her mutant genes.

She and Wade were already divorced, but Wade was one of the few men who could handle her "bedroom gymnastics," so she still had needs, after all.

Other mutants with healing factors were either Wade\'s relatives or his close friends, which left Inez with no one else to turn to.

Domino nodded too. For her, it was more of a game. She didn\'t actually want to steal Wade but didn\'t want to lose face in a competition for him, either. It was fine for all three to share Wade, but she didn\'t want to be the one who gave in.

As for Vanessa, she was the least willing to compromise. She was Wade\'s official girlfriend, after all. She was used to Wade fooling around, but doing it right in front of her? That was crossing a line. And to make things worse, the X-Men girls had witnessed the whole scene. Even though nothing had happened yet in the hotel room, everyone knew what was going on.

So, she had to assert her claim, but these other two witches were trying to take Wade from her!

Su Ming sighed. He wasn\'t sure what to say. Should he tell them that Wade would eventually marry someone else—a purple-skinned demoness with a dragon\'s head, only to later divorce and end up in a love triangle with Thanos? That they\'d all end up as his side affairs?

In any case, this was Wade\'s mess. Let him deal with it later.

"Alright, I get that you all have your reasons. As Wade\'s cousin, I won\'t meddle too much. But you\'ve got to resolve this. You can\'t just fight every time you meet, right?"

They wouldn\'t kill each other, that much was clear, but Su Ming excelled at using exaggerated consequences to manipulate people. This way, he could steer their thinking towards his own plans.

The three women exchanged glances and snorted in agreement. Su Ming pulled out a stack of papers, and with the symbiote\'s tentacle holding a pen, he began sketching rapidly against the wall. In no time, he had drawn up three identical maps of Paris.

Several locations were circled in bright, obvious marks.

"Alright, let me announce: The first-ever Wade Wilson Grand Race is now officially starting!"

???

The three women were completely lost. He\'d been so serious just a moment ago, and now he was talking like a sports announcer?

Su Ming didn\'t care what they thought. He knew they\'d follow his lead. Handing each of them a map, he continued, "These are maps of Paris, and the marked locations are key targets."

He pointed at the many circles. "These are German military depots, fuel reserves, barracks, checkpoints, tank yards, food warehouses, and other places of interest. Some circles mark famous French buildings, which may house high-ranking German officials."

"This is a competition to win Wade\'s heart. Whoever destroys the most targets in three days gets my support to be with Wade. You should know, Wade\'s parents died when he was young—I\'m the only family he has."

Suddenly, the three women took this much more seriously. Before, it was just a chaotic fight, but now it felt like a formal test, almost like gaining the approval of a family member.

Of course, Su Ming had no real authority to decide who Wade ended up with. Wade was unpredictable and would probably end up sleeping with enemies. But the women didn\'t know that. They believed Su Ming, as Wade\'s only living relative, must carry some weight.

Domino narrowed her eyes. "But how will we ensure fairness?"

"Good question!" Su Ming exclaimed. He just needed one of them to take the bait—if one joined, the others would follow.

"I\'ll have Cable set up recording devices for each of you to document your progress. Three days from now, we\'ll judge based on the number of destroyed buildings and enemies taken down. No outside help, and no sabotaging the others. You\'ll all act alone. Only the strongest woman deserves my cousin."

It made sense to them. After some thought, their competitive spirits reignited. They all nodded in agreement.

Su Ming smiled, satisfied. He nodded back, but inside he was plotting.

"Perfect. Let them do the hard work. In three days, Wade will be fully healed, and I\'ll wash my hands of the whole mess and let him take the blame."

"And as a bonus, I\'ll have three recorded video logs that Gin can edit back in America. It\'ll be like a first-person war movie. In this era, fighting Nazis is a hot theme, and with \'special effects\' this real, it\'ll make a fortune."

Now, what to name the movie? Rambo? Die Hard? Ah, so many options. Su Ming hated naming things.
