Chapter 271: Triple Advancement

Chapter 271: Triple Advancement

\'I can\'t move it\' Ed thought to himself, as he tried to slash the colossal body in front of him. Yet, it couldn\'t budge a single millimeter.

"So, you\'ve dropped far enough to attack from behind, huh descendant of Vortigern," Erykytos said with a calm voice. It seemed as if the sword stuck in his chest was a decoration and not a threat to his life.

"Well, it didn\'t seem like it was very effective, was it?" Ed couldn\'t help but say with a wry smile on his face. His body slowly appeared out of thin air, causing the bystanders to open their eyes wide in shock.

"I\'m rather intrigued actually, how did you make a copy of Sarin so perfectly?" Erykytos asked. In the middle of all the stunned faces, he was the only one calm enough to show interest.

"I\'ll tell you if you tell me how you\'re still alive even after I pierced your heart," Ed said. "How about it? A fair trade don\'t you think?"

"Certainly" Erykytos\' hand found his chin and started to scratch it. "Well, the heart is just another muscle. If you train it hard enough, you\'ll be able to withstand such attacks. You youngsters nowadays lack training, back in our days, everyone focused on their vitals instead of their cultivation level. The latter matters very little when death comes knocking silently from behind."

"Thank you for your wise words Elder," Ed truthfully said what he thought. "Then my turn. That\'s not a copy of Sarin nor is it a puppet that looks like him. It\'s just a disguise."

"hohoho, don\'t try to fool me now," Erykytos said as if amused. "No mere disguise could hide from my eyes."

"It\'s a very special disguise you see," Ed said.

"Well, if you\'re not going to tell me, I\'ll find out for myself."

Erykytos took a step forward towards the two Sarins; the sword still lodged in his heart. Ed felt an immense force pull him to the front, and his body reacted automatically, as he tried to stand his ground. His whole body tensed up and his muscles bloated up to twice their size. Yet, he couldn\'t stop the advance. He activated his Nen and used all of his power until Erykytos couldn\'t take another step forward.

"Not bad," the man, who appeared like a giant, said. "How about this?" Suddenly, his Qi spiked and his body hurled forward. Ed\'s resistance meant very little then.

Ed realized that he was simply wasting his time and effort, and thus stored his katana in his Inventory in order to be freed from the person he was trying to kill.

Erykytos stopped and turned to look back at Ed; his face held a tinge of disappointment. But, before he could continue his advance towards Sarin, Dawlish made his move. He deemed the Sarin next to him as the real one and attacked the injured one that was brought in.

"What are you doing?! Didn\'t you see how he used the Poison!" one of the two elderly men standing by shouted in order to stop Dawlish, but it was to no avail.

"Gobuta, feel free to attack them," Ed\'s voice came from the back, undaunted by Erykytos\' aura. Dawlish sent his a threatening look but was forced to focus on the Sarin he was targeting, as he felt a murky Qi forming. He felt his head turn slowly, as if he was frozen in time, and saw Sarin breaking out of a shell.

It was like a hardboiled egg being peeled. Sarin\'s skin, hair, clothes, and injuries, everything simply fell off. And out came a surprise. Dark violet skin and black tattoos all over. Eyes that hinted death and murder, and Qi so violent it wanted to burn the air surrounding it. Gobuta came out and extended his left hand forward, easily catching Dawlish\'s sword between his fingers. Then, out of his spatial ring came out his great sword.

He swung it horizontally, targeting Dawlish\'s neck.

Johan stepped in order to save his father, but, since he wasn\'t prepared, he was blown away by the force of Gobuta\'s sword. Dawlish also managed to free his sword from Gobuta\'s hold.

Ed teleported to Gobuta\'s side and held on to him. The surroundings started to break down, similarly to Gobuta and crumbled down. The remaining leaders of Blood sect could only stare flabbergast.

Yellow skeletal ribs started to form around Ed and Gobuta, and an instant later, once the surrounding finished crumbling down, everyone could see \'it\' in the sky. The Black Dragon of Calamity. He flapped its wings and roared thunderously. Right above his head, a skeleton wearing a black cloak adorned with red embroidery.

"They\'re out, you can attack them now," the skeleton said. Before he could take a second look down, the dragon sent a torrent of flames down. The flames burned indiscriminately, but Ed and Gobuta were fine inside of the skeletal ribs. Around them, Dawlish and the others flew into the sky in order to save themselves. Most of them had higher cultivation that the dragon, but a dragon\'s flames were not to be underestimated. After all, the messengers that bound \'Sarin\' earlier turned to ash.

However, Erykytos remained still, standing in front of Ed and Gobuta and mumbling, "Interesting," to himself.

Those that flew, however, did not have an easy time. Just as they flew, they noticed that their armies had been decimated. The air got stuck in their throats, unable to escape to their mouths due to the shock. Not even ten minutes had passed since the commotion with Sarin started.

Of course, they had no way of knowing Ed\'s plan. How he used a Transformation card on Gobuta in order to have him look like Sarin, all in order to create a diversion. How he had Sieg create thousands of undead during the night in order to fool the Blood sect momentarily after he set up a dimension around them. After all, they needed the noise since he couldn\'t create living things inside of the dimensions he created. How he had Entei, the dragon, hide behind the mountain until he was given a signal. And finally, how he used \'Zero Sign\' in order to sneak up on Erykytos and stab him.

As they had no idea of what was happening, it was easy to catch them off guard.

The two eldest of the group were rather familiar to Ed. After all, they had bugged him to join them as their craftsman twice upon seeing his handiwork at the Scale kingdom auction. And in both times, they got turned down.

Those two elders met the worst fate among the Blood sect remaining forces.

From the dragon\'s back, a black wolf and a black small snake jumped out. The black wolf had pristine black fur, and white patches that looked like an open mouth full of fangs on his back. His eyes were silvery white.

The snake, Mehen, enlarged quickly and became even bigger than the dragon. One of the elders gasped at the sight and was swallowed whole the very next instant. His friend tried to call out to him, but nothing came out of his mouth. How could anything leave his mouth, when his throat had been torn to pieces by the black wolf?

"Leave my back," the black dragon told the skeleton above his head in a threatening tone. The skeleton, Sieg, flew up and flashed a rude gesture with his bony hand.

From behind, the full force of Avalon advanced forward in order to finish off the remaining Blood sect members. In front of them, an angel with two pairs of wings flew a couple of inches above the ground. Each pair had a black and a white wing.

Sieg, Merry, and Raikou, the three of them advanced to mythical rank.
