Chapter 251: The City’s Location

Chapter 251: The City\'s Location

North of Avalon kingdom, around 150 kilometers\' distance, a previously empty area disappeared. It was instead replaced by a city. The darkness of the night no longer ruled that area, as the light posts of the city were still lit. Inside the city, the citizens opened their eyes and looked around. But, they couldn\'t tell if they teleported or if they didn\'t even move from their spots. Everything happened in an instant for them.

However, one thing notified them of the success of their teleportation. The sky above them. It wasn\'t hard for them to notice the difference in the sky they lived under for their whole lives. Another thing that confirmed their teleportation, was the panting sect master whose hand was still stuck to the ground.

"We\'rehere," Ed felt his whole body ache as he spoke every word to the surrounding people. \'Do I have enough KI?\'

[For a short distance.] The system answered the ambiguous question of Ed, who disappeared from the sight of everyone. The citizens were surprised, and some of them wondered if it was a side effect of a long range of teleportation. But, most of the people realized what Ed had done.

"He should be in the great hall, so let\'s go there," Emilia said as she passed by Asem. The important people of the sect went after her, while the citizens, disciples, and guards walked around the city, and then headed to the outside. They wanted to know what kind of environment they would be living under.

Inside of the great hall, Ed was sitting in a chair while putting his head on the table. He was doing his best to stabilize his breathing, but it was as hard as it was painful. It was his third day using the Berserk skill, and it wasn\'t easy at all for him. On top of the strain on his body, even his KI was disturbed.

"Oh, my body, what am I doing to you?" he talked to himself as he moved his head left and right on the table. Ed was able to move his body this time, but barely.

[You\'re pushing it to the limit.]

"I wasn\'t asking anyoneI know what I\'m doing!"

Suddenly, footsteps could be heard coming from outside. Ed forced himself to sit up, and just barely, he was able to do it before the door opened. Emilia, his comrades, and the Sword sect officials came inside.

"Sir Ed, will you be alright?" Asem asked him as he walked inside and sat at the first chair near Ed.

"I\'ll live. I need a couple of hours of rest, and I\'ll be able to move my body normally. More importantly, how are the people? I imagine it must be hard for them to accept what happened."

"Not at all. Before we came here, they seemed confused, but that was all. They must have accepted everything the moment you told them about your plans," Asem explained.

"I hope that\'s the case. We\'ll discuss everything related to this tomorrow, and we\'ll head over to Avalon in order to check on the situation with the war. I haven\'t been there in a while, so I\'m also out of the loop."

Those present took Ed\'s words as the cue for them to leave. They knew he needed to rest. Emilia and his companions remained behind, however.

"Sieg, I\'ll need your help. Can you teleport me to my room? I\'m all out of KI, hahaha," Ed smiled towards his companions as he told them his current state.

Sieg didn\'t make any comment and instead walked over toward Ed. He put his skinny fingers on his shoulders, and both of them disappeared from the great hall. Raikou started to sink into his shadow, while the others walked away.

Ed chose to hit the sack immediately after getting to his room. He never felt more glad for his instant equipment change feature, which allowed him to change his clothes automatically. It would have been hell for him to change on his own. The night changed into the day, and Ed woke up feeling refreshed. He noticed Raikou sleeping by his bed and remembered the days where it was only him, Raikou, and Suika. Now, his roster of friends had increased more than he could imagine.

He left the room silently and headed into the great hall. There, he found most of the Elders present, along with Barsine, who seemed to be watching over all the meetings.

"Sorry about yesterday everyone. How\'s the city, anything missing?" Ed knocked the door and walked inside.

"No, everything seems to be in place. If anything were to be missing, then it wouldn\'t be important," said Asem while shaking his head.

"I see. Then to brief you in on the city\'s position and state. We\'re to the north of Avalon, and to the south of the previous Aaragon kingdom. I chose this place along with my father due to the low danger that this place has. It\'s very close to Avalon, just as the first city is supposed to be, which will make it easy to communicate."

Ed passed a map, with the city\'s current location being marked on it, to Asem. The latter studied it and passed it on to the others. It wasn\'t important, as most of them had the world\'s map memorized.

"For the livestock and farmlands, we\'ll have to work together on those. I plan to set farmlands between the two cities and all over the kingdom, which will be given to certain people to govern. The livestock will be sent from the capital over to this place and will be used to procure milk and other stuff. Hunting should be sufficient to get meat. We\'ll discuss all the details after, let\'s say, a month. For now, we have something more important to focus on. Any questions?"

"" the people in the room chose to remain silent and continued to stare at Ed. They couldn\'t help but think how his plans were so well thought out.

"Since no one is asking anything, Let us leave to Avalon!"
